The time for action is now. The call to move, to prepare, to heed the warnings of Scripture is urgent. Many today find themselves waiting—waiting for the perfect moment, waiting for someone else to act first, waiting for circumstances to align just right. But the Bible reminds us that procrastination can be a deadly trap. God’s Word calls us to be vigilant, to move in faith, and to act in obedience while time yet remains.

Do Not Procrastinate
The book of Proverbs warns us of the dangers of delay:
“Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.” (Proverbs 6:6-8)
If even the ant prepares in due season, how much more should we, as God’s people, be diligent in following His direction? The time for preparation is not tomorrow—it is today. Whether it is a call to leave the cities, to strengthen our faith, or to align our lives with God's commandments, we cannot afford to delay.
Now is the Time to Move to the Country
God has always called His people to places of refuge before times of great trouble. Lot was told to flee Sodom (Genesis 19:17), Noah was instructed to build an ark before the flood came (Genesis 6:13-14), and Jesus Himself warned of the time when His followers should flee to the mountains (Matthew 24:15-16).
The time to act is now. The cities are becoming increasingly corrupt, filled with violence and lawlessness, just as prophesied. Waiting for the perfect moment to move is dangerous. As Lot and his family were instructed, we must not look back (Genesis 19:26), nor delay our obedience. We must move forward in faith, trusting that God will provide.
Do Not Wait for Your Brother or Sister to Act
Many hesitate to move because they look around and see that others are not taking action. But salvation and obedience to God's warnings are personal. The Bible reminds us:
“So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.” (Romans 14:12)
We cannot wait for our church brethren, family members, or neighbors to make the first move. We must seek the Lord for ourselves and act according to His direction. Noah built the ark even when the world around him mocked and disbelieved. Will you act in faith even when others hesitate?
Now is the Time to Share and Help One Another
As we prepare, we must also extend a helping hand to those in need. The Bible teaches the principle of self-sufficiency, but also of generosity:
“Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.” (Galatians 6:2)
If God has blessed us with knowledge, resources, or skills, let us not hoard them selfishly but share them with our brethren. Whether it is knowledge of gardening, food preservation, homeschooling, or simply the encouragement to move forward, we are called to help one another.
The Day of the Lord is Near—Act Now!
Scripture makes it clear that time is short:
“See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” (Ephesians 5:15-16)
The prophecies of the last days are being fulfilled before our eyes. The world is in turmoil, and the signs of Christ’s soon coming are evident. The enemy seeks to lull us into complacency, whispering that we have more time. But the truth is, we do not know how much time remains.
“Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.” (Proverbs 27:1)
Final Call: Move Forward in Faith
Noah did not wait until the first raindrops fell before he entered the ark. Lot could not linger in Sodom when the angels urged him to leave. When the Lord calls us to move, to prepare, to flee from the corruption of this world, we must do so without hesitation.
If you have been considering a move to the country, strengthening your faith, or stepping out in obedience to God's commands—do not delay. Seek the Lord in prayer, ask for wisdom, and then take the steps He places before you.
Now is the time. Will you answer the call?
